Since its inception in 1975, the driving force of the administration, teachers and board members at St. Mary's Richard Tufenkian Armenian Preschool has been to nurture children and educate future generations. Forty years later, Richard Tufenkian Preschool continues to strive for excellence by providing a quality early childhood program. The school has been successfully accredited since 1998 by NAEYC, a nationally acclaimed organization for early childhood education.

Wait List & Priority Enrollment Details: 
Admission to the school is possible by placing the child on the school's waiting list. The waiting list for the next academic year starts on the first day of October (i.e., if your child will be eligible to attend school in August 2018, you will need to register your child's name in the waiting list starting October 1st, 2017). Please note that the waiting list is valid for one year. If your child is not admitted due to limited space, you will need to renew his/her name on the waiting list again. The following are the guidelines for the 2018-2019 program year for enrolling children in age appropriate classroom settings. A child must be born between September 2, 2015 to May 1, 2016 to be admitted and placed into 2½ year old groups. A child must be born between September 2, 2014 to September 1, 2015 to be admitted and placed into 3 year old groups. A child must be born between September 2, 2013 to September 1, 2014 to be admitted and placed into 4 year old groups. A child must be born between September 2, 2012 to September 1, 2013 to be admitted and placed into 5 year old group With the exception of the 2½ year old group, all children must be potty trained when starting school.
