About the Program:
La Casita Verde is a licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit preschool and childcare center in Northeast Los Angeles operated by Mount Washington Preschool and Childcare Centers that serves children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our approach to high-quality early care and education includes developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum, nurturing staff, strong parent involvement, and an environment that respects and celebrates diversity.
Located in Highland Park’s historic Ziegler Estate (4601 N. Figueroa Street), La Casita Verde is adjacent to the Southwest Museum Metro Goldline station and is directly across the street from Sycamore Grove Park.

Applications are placed on a first-come, first-served basis once payment has been received. Waiting list applications submitted without payment will be returned and not placed on the waiting list The following are the priorities for La Casita Verde Child Care Center:
1. Pathways, DCFS and low income families
2. Siblings of children enrolled in La Casita Verde Child Care Center
3. Residents of the City of Los Angeles.
