Enrichment activities:
We spend the school days from 9:00am - 2:00pm (M-F) in local parks and then twice a month we hop on the Metro for a new adventure around Los Angeles that may include City Hall, Santa Monica Pier, California Science Center or one of our favorites...Little Tokyo! While in the park we go on daily hikes, including our rigorous hike to the Observatory (that the kids love!) and use play-based curriculum to teach our students pre-k and kindergarten fundamentals. We feel these adventures and physical activity help students learn by experience. Additionally, we incorporate lessons about inspirational leaders, community volunteering, positive role models, responsible activism, and the importance of caring for others.
