About the Program:
Sunrise is a movement of God's people that refuse to ignore suffering or be motivated by fear. We are a unique, multi-class environment that's unlike anything you've ever experienced before. So what makes Sunrise the "Weirdest Little Church in Texas?" Well first of all, we're South Austin through and through. Second, we believe a lot of things that most churches don't seem to. We believe that.... Differences should be celebrated. Every class & race of people are important. People take long journeys towards God - they don't teleport immediately. There's a lot more to the Christian life than just attending a worship service. Fun is an important gift from God. We need each other - God made us to tell the truth to other human beings. Since 1998, Sunrise's Neighborhood Youth Program (SNYP) has been providing low-cost, high-quality childcare to working families in a fun, supportive and faith-filled atmosphere. We pride ourselves on helping low-income families have a place for their kids to go during the summer, after school and on holidays so that parents can breathe easier and families can thrive! Come find out why kids want to keep coming back to SNYP year after year after year!
