The way in which the mission of our school is accomplished specifically in our Early Childhood Center is by providing an exceptional hands-on learning environments where Jesus' love is shared as we partner with families to help children become everything God has created them to be!

Knowing Jesus Christ as a loving Savior and recognizing the importance of forgiveness and grace for all is the most important life lesson we can pass on to our students.
We value PLAY
Redeemer knows that play is vital to a child’s development. Our three age-appropriate state-of-the-art playgrounds attest to that belief. We partnered with The University of Texas for 35 years to research the benefits of play. Multiple research studies and published books, on the importance of play in natural settings, have been written based upon children playing at Redeemer campus.
We value STRONG ACADEMICS
Rigors academics are key to student success in the 21st century. The Redeemer curriculum offers a natural acceleration as children progress through each grade level. By the time our students graduate from 8th grade, they will have had an opportunity to receive up to 4 high school credits. Based on annual scores from our standardized testing, students in 8th grade typically average at a 10th to college grade level equivalency in Reading, Math, Language, Science, and History.
We value READING READINESS
Reading readiness is critical. Children will blossom when they are ready to read, and together with our reading resource teacher, we work with students at their various stages of development.
We value MATH
Math is a vital component to success in life. Many life decisions depend on upon a strong foundation of math – personal finance, retirement, career income, business ventures, etc. Children will be provided with a sound basis of foundational math starting in Kindergarten. They will have an opportunity to place into 6th-grade math during their 5th-grade year and giving a chance to claim a high school algebra credit at the end of their 8th-grade year.
We value SCIENCE
Environmental education is a fundamental component of our science curriculum. Our nationally recognized nature and hydroponic gardens provide children a hands-on opportunity to care for and respect the environment.
We value HISTORY
History has taught us much through the ages. It’s important for children to understand how life has developed through the years and to allow them an opportunity to learn from the past.
We value FOREIGN LANGUAGE FLUENCY
Spanish is a necessary language in Texas. Age-appropriate Spanish curriculum begins with our 2-year-olds and culminates with a High School Spanish I credit when they complete 8th grade.
We value PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND MOVEMENT
Daily physical education stimulates the brain and positively affects life-long health and well-being. The American Diabetes Association finds that less than 4% of elementary students have a daily physical education.
We value MUSIC
Music is fundamental to children’s growth and development. Music helps to develop higher thinking skills, better coordination and improves children’s ability to work with math and science. Our elementary students have music classes twice a week, as well as choir instruction. Band and choir electives are also offered in middle school.
We value COMPETITION
Competition is good for boys and girls to prepare them for life. Our students have the opportunity to participate in athletic, academic, and fine arts competitions.
We value TECHNOLOGY AND INTERACTIVE LEARNING
Education should be experiential. We bring the world to our students through interactive participation through SMART Boards in all rooms. Our students go out into the world to learn by taking field trips, including overnight trips in 5th-8th grades.
We value STEWARDSHIP AND SERVANT LEADERSHIP
Respect and care for others is an attribute we aspire to develop in each student. Opportunities for children to learn and practice caring for others are integrally woven throughout a child’s time at RLS by encouraging regular donations to charities supporting a variety of needs, and with activities such as growing herbs for the Meals on Wheels Program, working with the school for the blind, and connecting with the Fikisha Street Ministry in Kenya.
