About the Program:
Healthy Starts Children’s Center at OHSU is passionate about the learning process of young children. Our center was created to help your children explore, learn and grow. Whether your child has first words or first grade on the horizon, we excel at preparing children for school success. At Healthy Starts Children's Center we have a room fully devoted to art that focuses on the artistic process. The building is equipped with an indoor playground as well as an outdoor playground, so children can play outdoors year round. Children have access to an interactive smart board as well as computers in our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs; using technology to explore concepts and build their math, language and science skills. Our Guided Discovery approach is proprietary and play-based; guiding each child’s discovery of the world around them. We provide a stimulating and caring environment designed to promote social, emotional, cognitive and physical development as well as ensuring the health and safety of each child.
