About the Program:
Elements Preschool is committed to creating a safe and caring environment for all children and staff.
We focus on three major themes:
Science – Childhood is a time for exploration. We value children’s questions and observations and strive to collectively discover truths about the world around us. Mornings at Elements include a science segment full of hands on experimentation, discovery, and fun.
Art – Creating art helps children master physical abilities like fine motor skills and supports cognitive development through cause-and-effect (e.g., what happens when two paint colors mix?). The process also facilitates self-expression and recognition of one’s emotions. Art segments at Elements are gently teacher-guided but do not have rigid goals meaning children are free to express their feelings as they feel comfortable.
Play – We take play seriously. Child development research strongly supports active play as the best way for young children to develop critical cognitive, social-emotional, and physical skills. Encouraging free play also just feels right to us as a team of parents who want their children to truly enjoy the preschool experience. After all, what are your favorite memories from childhood? There is a good chance many of those memories took place outside and were fueled by your imagination. Elements has a large, open backyard that’s perfect for safe – yet thrilling – outdoor adventures.
