About the Program:
El Buen Pastor Early Childhood Development Center is designed to give each child entering the assurance of a rich and stimulating environment that enhances the child’s unique and independent growth. The curriculum encourages and promotes physical, emotional, social, and cognitive learning. Gross and fine motor skills are developed through physical exercise. Snacks and cooking activities are included for tasty enjoyment and nutritional development. Menus are planned with a variety of foods providing the nutrition possible. The activities in which the children participate in nurture their minds as well as their bodies.
El Buen Pastor Early Childhood Development Center is one of the few programs in Austin that is accredited by the National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC). NAEYC is the nation’s most rigorous early childhood accrediting body.
El Buen Pastor Early Childhood Development Center is a nonprofit early childhood education center. Through donations and grants we are able to put every dollar we receive towards providing quality care to our families. We offer tuition on a sliding scale basis and provide scholarships based on fund availability. We are dedicated to encouraging the use of our children’s creative energies, expanding their social skills, and enhancing their learning capabilities.
Our newly constructed Center includes spacious rooms with child-friendly sinks, bathrooms, and furniture designed to meet the safety and developmental needs of all students. Our campus is equipped with outdoor recreational areas for children to play. There also outdoor classroom centers for children to continue there play.
Our curriculum (teaching strategies) combines activities in language and literacy, writing, science, math, technology, sensory, music and movement, and art to create a fun and intellectually stimulating environment.
Toilet Independence Requirements:
If the child is in diapers, the infant tuition rate will apply, regaRdless of the child’s age.
