About the Program:
We are a small, private, religiously exempt preschool located within First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach. We have about a hundred students, ages 2-6. Classes are small, so that the student/teacher ratio is low enough for some individualized instruction. Our philosophy is that children learn best through play, and child-directed, teacher facilitated instruction. Classrooms are center-based, and students are taught academics with a hands-on approach to learning. We know that each child is unique, and comes to us with a variety of interests and skills. Play, and center-based classrooms allow children to explore the world and environment around them. We believe that this environment facilitates creativity, problem-solving, language development cognition and social skills.
Toilet Independence Requirements:
Students aged 3 and up are required to be toilet-trained.
